HadayaLearning Academy

Islam and Arabic for children born here.

We received Arabic and the Qur'an from our parents and grandparents, almost without thinking. Our children are growing up somewhere else, and what came naturally to us now has to be passed on with care. That is what Hadaya is for.

Why Hadaya exists

هَدِيَّة

“Hadiyya”: a gift. What we want to leave to our children.

As children, we learned Arabic and the language of the Qur'an at home. A grandmother reciting, a father going over a surah on his way back from the mosque, a language heard everywhere. All of it shaped us without our even noticing.

Our children were born here. They speak another language at school, with their friends, on their screens. Nothing around them naturally reminds them where they come from, or why they are on this earth. And every day we see families watch their children drift, gently, away from their language, their faith and themselves.

Hadaya was born from a father's worry about his son, born in Canada, who does not speak Arabic. We set out to build what we wished we had found for him: a place where a child learns the letters, the surahs, their religion and their Muslim identity, gently, in a language they understand.

This is not a money project. It is a family project, offered to every family that carries Arabic and the Qur'an in its heart for its children, and for its children's children. Making sure our children do not lose their way is our responsibility. We do not want to carry it alone.

Hadaya also carries the memory of a child who left us too soon. His life was short, but it mattered, and he will never be forgotten. Every letter learned here, every surah recited, is a little for him too. May Allah have mercy on him.

Getting started takes three minutes

The account belongs to the parent. Children have no email or password: they simply pick their profile.

  1. You create the family account

With Google, Microsoft or a code sent by email.

  2. You add each child

A first name and an age are enough: Hadaya suggests the right level.

  3. Your child picks their profile and begins

Each lesson is read aloud, at the child's own pace.

What you can expect from us
