Unit 1
The letters that look alike
- 112 min1. Alif, Baa, Taa, Thaa: my first lettersArabic is written from right to left and has 28 letters. We start with alif, then the little boat family: ب ت ث.
- 212 min2. Jiim, Ḥaa, Khaa, Daal, Dhaal, Raa, ZaayThree new families: ج ح خ, then د ذ and ر ز. Once again, the dots make the difference.
- 315 min3. Siin, Shiin, Ṣaad, Ḍaad, Ṭaa, Ẓaa, 'Ayn, GhaynFour pairs of sisters: س ش, ص ض, ط ظ and ع غ. In each pair, the second letter has dots.
